FORMIDABLE WOMEN & VOTING RIGHTS: Black and white women won the right to vote in 1920, but did not become formidable for five more decades. And now they are fighting for voting and other rights again. Have women made any progress since the Nineteenth Amendment? Not enough!
Dr. Elisabeth (Betsy) Griffith: A historian, a teacher, an author, an activist, and an expert on American women’s history. Graduate of Wellesley College with a doctorate from American University.
