Education for Children
At All Souls NYC, we believe that faith is a journey best begun early. Our Children’s Religious Education (RE) program provides a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment where young hearts and minds can explore spiritual and moral values, learn about Unitarian Universalism, and develop a sense of community and belonging.
Our Mission
Our mission is to:
- Inspire Curiosity and Exploration: We encourage children to ask questions, explore their beliefs, and develop their own understanding of spirituality.
- Foster a Sense of Community: By participating in RE, children build friendships and learn the importance of being part of a supportive, caring community.
- Instill Core Values: Through stories, activities, and discussions, we teach values such as compassion, respect, justice, and love.
Age-Appropriate Learning Groups
Our Children’s RE program is divided into three age-appropriate groups, each designed to meet the developmental and spiritual needs of different age groups:
Elementary Group
Our youngest members enjoy interactive lessons filled with stories, songs, crafts, and games that introduce them to Unitarian Universalist principles in a fun and engaging way.
Focus: Building a foundation of faith through play and exploration.
Middle School Group
Middle schoolers engage in thought-provoking discussions, hands-on activities, and service projects that help them explore their beliefs and values.
Focus: Encouraging critical thinking and personal growth in a supportive environment.
High School Group
High school students meet in a supportive space where they can explore their faith, discuss relevant social issues, and build lasting friendships.
Focus: Deepening faith and preparing for adulthood through meaningful dialogue and community service.
