No Kings March

No Kings is a nationwide, nonviolent day of action to defend democratic norms and reject authoritarianism. Organizers have 2,000 coordinated events across all 50 states. The goal is to get 10 million people to turn out, a number that no one can ignore.

This is a MARCH only, not a rally, and it is sponsored/endorsed by many organizations, including the New York Civil Liberties Union, Indivisible, Mobilize, Unitarian Universalists Side with Love, Gray Panthers NYC and others. It will start at 11:00 am on Saturday October 18th in Duffy Square at Broadway and 47th Street. The march route is 1.6 miles south on 7th Avenue to 14th Street. Preparation:

1. Make signs – ahead of time or with us on Saturday morning.
2. Find your bright UU clothing to march (preferably yellow). Side with Love shirts are available through the UU bookstore: https://sidewithlove.org/store

Day of details:

1. MEET at 9:00 a.m. in the All Souls Vestibule (church lobby) to make signs – materials provided. (If you have signs already, you can meet us outside Carnegie Hall at 10:30.)
2. We will leave via subway at 10:00 a.m. SHARP with our signs. Wear comfortable clothing, bring water and snacks.
3. Make sure you have a march “buddy” – exchange telephone numbers and text your buddy if you need help or plan to leave the march early.
4. MEET at Carnegie Hall at 10:30 a.m. – (front door on 57^th Street) at 57^th Street and 7^th Avenue. We will walk as a group at 10:45 to join the march.
