What influences the process of religion formation and editing? Is there an evolutionary component to religion formation and practice that guides what ends up in a religion after it goes through an editing process? Using Abrahamic and Native religions, this talk proposes a predictive model for religion formation and change over time as well as predict the direction of post-Christian, “secular spirituality” movements.
