About the workshop: The Break Barriers, Build Beliefs (B4) workshop prepares congregations and Search Committees for a faithful, equitable ministerial search. It will:
- Build shared language and practice for recognizing and reducing bias
- Surface perceptions and unconscious bias through the B4 Beliefs Survey and structured reflection
- Strengthen skills for noticing and responding to subtle acts of exclusion, such as microaggressions
- Equip the Search Committee to carry the workshop’s insights into its next steps
