Adult Religious Education: Tent of Nations and Apartheid-Free Communities | Hosted by Unitarian Universalists for Justice in the Middle East

April 12 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am EDT

Join the All Souls Chapter of UUJME (Unitarian Universalists for Justice in the Middle East) for a conversation with Laura Brown-Lavoie about her most recent trip to the Tent of Nations, an educational and ecological family farm southwest of Bethlehem, Palestine.

Hear as well from UUJME leaders about the Apartheid-Free Communities movement, a coalition of communities who pledge to work together to end Israeli apartheid.

Tent of Nations: https://tentofnations.com/

The Tent of Nations’ mssion is to build bridges between people and between people and the land. Through creative resistance, organic farming, and educational programs, we seek to transform despair into hope and promote understanding, respect, and sustainability.

Apartheid-Free Communities: https://apartheid-free.org/

The Apartheid-Free network formed in 2022, following the emerging consensus among the international human rights community that Israel’s treatment of the Palestinian people amounts to the Crime of Apartheid. Originally created by faith groups in North America, the network currently includes congregations, faith communities, solidarity organizations, non-profits, campus groups, businesses, and more. Centered in North America, we encourage communities throughout the world to join the network.
