Adult Education: How Religions Elevate “Rules” for Survival

Frank Ciulla will explain how certain secular rules and restrictions developed by societies were eventually elevated in certain religions. These rules became the “instructions from a god or a prophet” but their secular, evolutionary effect was to increase the survival of both the individual and society. These rule sets can overgo “cultural selection” and certain practices and religious ideas are propagated and start to show up in multiple new religions.
