Rudy Girón
Congregation Coordinator
Rudy Girón has been a proud member of Musica Viva NY and The All Souls Choir since the fall of 2022. In the summer of 2024, he began his new role as the Congregational Coordinator and Administrator at All Souls working under the direction of Pamela Patton and Nadira Shiwram-Singh.
As a Mexican-American countertenor, Mr. Girón has been described as “an ethereal countertenor with a rare gift” by The Berkshire Eagle. He has collaborated with Beth Morrison Projects on Paola Prestini’s Old Man and the Sea, also featuring Nathan Gunn and Measha Brueggergosman-Lee. Recently, Mr. Girón joined the New York Philharmonic as a soloist premiering Keyframes for a Hippogriff by Olga Neuwirth. He also made his debut with Opera Montana’s L’incoronazione di Poppea in the first Baroque Opera produced in the state of Montana. He was also the soloist in Golijov’s Oceana and Mozart’s Requiem with
MusicaVivaNY.
