Adult Education: Connecting with the Spirit Medicine of Plants

This session is an invitation to connect directly with the spirit of healing plants. Participants will join Laura Brown-Lavoie in a tea meditation, and she will share remarks about her experience of plants as spiritual teachers and companions.
Before moving to New York to attend seminary, Laura worked for 15 years as a vegetable and herb farmer. For the past 5 years, Laura has gardened alongside herbalist and author Deb Soule, in the Wabanaki homelands of midcoast Maine, at Deb’s farm and apothecary Avena Botanicals. Tending medicinal plants is a central part of Laura’s spiritual life, and she is overjoyed to share it with the All Soul’s community through tea and conversation.
